Dyson effectively transformed the vacuum cleaner into a status symbol and a lifestyle product.

Bulk of their sales were via third party retailers, with marked up prices and cutting into their sales margin. Our brief was to drive direct sales for their products – making the prices more accessible to a larger audience. Whilst ensuring that the advertising retained Dyson’s renowned design aesthetics.

Dyson focuses on showing its intelligent side to its audience, so that customers know they can trust them to deliver next-level technology. Our strategy focussed on the reason that makes the Dyson brand so unique – products that customers rave about. Our ideas were all about “creating obsessed customers”.

Building on the concept of ‘disruption by design’ and Dyson’s core values of ‘simplicity’ and ‘innovation’– the ads focus on the genuine reaction when people interact with the products and how Dyson technology transforms lives.
